Chemical constituents: Principal constituents of leaves are aloins, which include barbaloin, isobarbaloin and β-barbaloin and other anthraquinone glycosides such as emodin, aloe-emodin, chrysophanol, and chrysophanic acid.   • Liver complication.

 Diagnosis of the disease: The liver is burning after meal and urine is not clear and physical weakness is shown.  Preparation: Leaves of ghritokumari are cut into small pieces and soaked in water. , this extract mixed with sugar.  Treatment: This extract  is used orraly for liver complication.
